Therapy, where you can be yourself.

Therapy, where you can be yourself.

I work with people who have become skilled at getting through life, keeping things together, helping others, and managing what hurts, while privately feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves.

My work begins with a simple belief: you are not broken. The ways you learned to cope have a story. Therapy can help you understand that story with compassion and begin making changes that feel true to who you are.

You bring the story. I bring curiosity, care, and a way forward.

You are the expert on what you have lived through. My role is to meet you where you are, help you make sense of what feels stuck, and support healing at a pace your system can handle.

Therapy with me is warm, direct, and collaborative. We can go deep, but we will not rush past safety, trust, or the parts of you that need time to be understood.

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor with more than a decade of experience in addiction recovery, mental health, trauma, and co-occurring concerns. I earned my bachelors degree from the University of Minnesota and my masters degree from the Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School.

My approach integrates EMDR, IFS therapy, CBT, ACT, and mindfulness. The work may include processing painful experiences, understanding protective responses, strengthening recovery, and reconnecting with the values that make your life feel like your own.

A therapist, and still a person.

A therapist, and still a person.

Outside of therapy, I find meaning in nature, creativity, and making things with my hands. Pottery, woodworking, and time outdoors remind me that healing takes patience and care.

My own recovery from mental health and addiction challenges has also shaped how I understand this process. I know that change rarely happens all at once, and that you do not need to arrive as a finished version of yourself. You only need a place where what you are carrying can be met with care.
